Introduction
Let’s try Snappit in less than 5 minutes by automating a simple Google search.
Install the Extension
- Install the Snappit extension from the Chrome Web Store
- Click the Extensions icon at the top right of the Chrome toolbar to open the extension
- Pin the Snappit extension for easier access, then click it to launch
Log In with Google
The first time you open Snappit, you’ll be prompted to log in.
Simply sign in with your Google account — it only takes a few clicks.
Create Your First Project
- On the landing page, click the
CREATE A PROJECT
button - Enter a Name, Label, and optional User Emails, then click
CREATE
Create Your First Flow
- After creating your project, click the
CREATE A FLOW
button again to navigate to theEditor
page - In a new browser tab, go to https://www.google.com
- Once you're on the Google homepage, click the Record icon at the top right corner of the Snappit
Editor
— this will start recording your actions in the active browser tab - Type a search term into the Google search bar and click the
Google Search
button — watch your actions being recorded live in theEditor
- To replay the recorded steps, click the
Run
button in the top right corner of theEditor
and confirm the execution - Click the
Save
button at the bottom right to save your automation flow
That’s it — you’ve just built your first browser automation to perform a Google search using Snappit. And this is only the beginning. You can build powerful, dynamic workflows with just a few clicks.
